Info & Care

All garments are handknitted in New Zealand by a few great women.
My handspun wool has been spun by Callie in the Marlborough Sounds, a two hour drive down windy shingle roads from Havelock.

Please cold handwash all handknits and dry flat in shade. Handknits do stretch with wear. I like them stretched, but if you want them back in shape just give them a handwash. The best soap I have used for handwashing is made by Callie too, on her farm. It is made from organic lard, lye and water. Available from Everyday Needs or Muck Floral.
Pilling may occur with first few wears and is a natural occurance. It will stop with wear, but until then, masking tape is pretty good.

I don't wash my handknits very much, especially my wool ones. I do find that the more I wear them, the more I love them. I like them stretched and repaired, and by then there is no pilling at all.

Please choose carefully. At this stage I can't offer any exchange or refund as every item is a one off. I am happy to answer any questions you may have before you purchase.
